Frequently Asked Questions

How does all of this work?

Send a message through email, text, or the chat button on the UrTempo website to start the process of enrollment! After that, UrTempo will contact you and together we will create a schedule that works best for you! By committing to a schedule, we will agree to meet via an online video calling service, and just like that, we are ready to learn.

How often do I need to make a payment?

It is up to you whether you would like to pay for multiple courses/dates ahead of time in order to ensure your spot in the future. Essentially, payment is due before each tutoring session.

What resources will I get as a student for UrTempo?

Depending on the course that the student is enrolled in will determine what resources they may receive. For more information, please chat with your instructor if you would like additional resources for your specific course.

How many courses can a student enroll in at once?

As many as they would like, so long as the student is up for the task!

Is there a cancellation policy?

Students may choose to cancel an upcoming session up to 1 hour before the scheduled meeting time. We would like to follow schedules as best as we can, but we all understand that sometimes life has other plans. That being said, multiple cancellations or lateness will impact your ability to schedule upcoming sessions- let’s all be team players!

Can I receive a discount if I refer a friend or family member?

So, you are a student for UrTempo and you want to bring another friend on board? When the person who they refer has signed up for courses, discounts will become available to both parties!

Are UrTempo’s tutors reliable?

Through many years of education, having an understanding of the vast philosophies that wish to improve the system, the in-person experience that we have in the classroom, and our personal driving motivations all make UrTempo’s instructors very reliable in providing the best that we can to every student who enrolls.

What is the difference between Specialty Courses, Tutoring Services, and Seminars?

“Specialty Courses” are hand-picked by our staff and offered to you as regularly scheduled occurrences. For example, a student who would like to take a ukulele course three times a week for a month would sign up for a specialty course.

A “Tutoring Service” refers to a student who is enrolled in a school or an analogous setting who seeks help with their already preexisting workload. For example, a student in the 5th grade who struggles with math should enroll in our tutoring service where they will receive homework help along with a reinforcement of their curriculum.

“Seminars” at UrTempo are offered as a potential group setting where up to three students can learn the same material together.
